Kerr County Bail Bond Board

Purpose Statement

The Kerr County Bail Bond Board is responsible for the licensing and regulation of bail bond companies in Kerr County. Surety Companies must be licensed in Kerr County before they can secure bail for any person incarcerated in the Kerr County detention facility.

The Kerr County Bail Bond Board was established Dec. 4, 2002, pursuant to Occupations Code Chapter 1704, Section 1704.052 Discretionary Creation of Board for a county with a population of less than 110,000.

Pursuant to OC SECTION 1704.055. The Board shall meet at least four times each year during the months of January, April, July, October and other times as deemed necessary by the presiding officer. The Bail Bail Bond Meetings are held in the County Court at Law Courtroom/Offices located in the Courthouse, unless otherwise specified.
