Kerr County Tax Assessor-Collector

*** TAX OFFICE REOPENED ***

Kerr County's tax offices that were forced out of a flood-damaged courthouse in Kerrville have all relocated to the West Kerr County Courthouse Annex, 510 College Street in Ingram, and are serving the public in that location.

Kerr County Tax Assessor-Collector Bob Reeves thanks citizens for their patience while county offices have worked to get back to serving them as quickly as possible. He said employees will offer helpful directions to those visiting the location in-person.

Temporary Exemption-Property Damaged by Disaster

Property owners who experienced at least 15% damage are entitled to file for a Temporary Exemption for Qualified Property Damaged by Disaster.

This pertains to physical damage to property that consists of tangible personal property used for the production of income, an improvement to real property or manufactured home that is used as a dwelling.

The property must be located in an area declared by the governor to be a disaster area following a disaster.  Governor Abbott declared Kerr County a disaster area on July 17, 2026.  Taxpayers have 105 days to file for the exemption with the deadline being October 30, 2026.
