Veterans Service Office to be closed from Oct. 13-21
While most county offices will be closed Monday, Oct. 13, for the Columbus Day holiday, the Kerr County Veterans Service Office also will be closed from then through Oct. 21.
“We will be closed the week of Oct. 13-17 for the county holiday and then training,” said Kerr County Veterans Service Officer Jenna Sanchez. “Then, our office will be closed the following week on Monday and Tuesday (Oct. 20-21) due to minimal staffing and prior appointments.”
“We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and appreciate the public’s understanding. If you are a Kerr County veteran and you need to see us, then don’t hesitate to call us today to schedule an appointment,” she added.
The Kerr County Veterans Service Office may be reached by phone at 830-792-2203 or by email at veterans.service@veterans.kerrcountytx.gov.
The VSO provides free assistance to Kerr County’s resident military veterans, their family members and their survivors, helping provide them with valuable information and navigate the processes involved in obtaining the legal benefits that are made available to them under federal and state laws.
The office welcomes walk-ins, but those with appointments are given priority services during its normal operating hours, Mondays through Fridays at the Allie Burton Annex, 550 Earl Garrett Street, in Suite 107. The office is closed on Fridays.
