Precinct 4 to put BURN BAN back in effect early Saturday
(As of Friday evening, Jan. 30, 2026)
Effective 6 a.m. Saturday, Jan.. 31, the burn ban will go back 𝗜𝗡 𝗘𝗙𝗙𝗘𝗖𝗧 for Kerr County Precinct 4.
It will remain 𝗟𝗜𝗙𝗧𝗘𝗗 for Kerr County Precincts 1, 2 and 3 until further notice.
The ban on open-flame, open-air burning also 𝗥𝗘𝗠𝗔𝗜𝗡𝗦 𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗖𝗘 for all areas considered AFFECTED by the the July 4 flooding incident. Areas identified as "affected" by the flooding are those properties located specifically between the high water marks on both banks of the Guadalupe River, including the river, the riverbed, etc. Burning is prohibited until individual zones are released by local officials.

Those people who are in an area where the burn ban remains lifted and who plan to burn should 𝒇𝒊𝒓𝒔𝒕 notify their nearest volunteer fire department and the Kerr County Sheriff's Office.
