Paper Ballot, Electronics are Options for Voters in Kerr County
Kerr County voters heading to the polls during the early, in-person voting period or on the regular Nov. 4 Election Day will have a choice of casting their ballots either on paper or by the use of electronic machinery.
“Contrary to some misinformation that is circulating in our community, I would like to assure voters that we have plenty of paper ballots at both early voting locations and on election day for all four voting precincts,” said Kerr County Clerk Nadene Alford.
“We are required by law to have electronic voting machines for the voters with a disability. Any voter, however, has the option to vote using the electronic method if they choose to do so,” Alford added.
Early Voting
The convenience of early, in-person voting is available at two polling locations in Kerr County:
Union Church, 101 Travis Street, in Kerrville, and,
West Kerr County Courthouse Annex, 510 College Street in Ingram.
The hours and dates of the remainder of the early voting period are as follows:
Oct. 24 (Friday): 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Oct. 27-29 (Monday through Wednesday): 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Oct. 30-31 (Thursday and Friday): 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
(No voting will be available on Saturdays or Sundays.)

To be eligible to vote early by mail in Texas, a voter must be: 65 years or older, sick/disabled; out of the county on election day and during the period for early voting; expecting to give birth within 3 weeks before or after election day, or be confined in jail (but otherwise eligible to vote.)
