Kerr leaders updated by TAC on employee benefits
Making sure Kerr County, Texas, employees continue to be taken care of in the coming year through health insurance and other benefits are Kerr County Commissioners (Pct. 4) Don Harris and (Pct. 1) Tom Jones (in foreground).
They were just two of the elected officials and department heads to sit in on a Tuesday, June 17, mid-day workshop presented by representatives of the Texas Association of Counties Health and Employee Benefits Pool (TAC HEBP) at the Hill Country Youth Event Center.
Here, Ernesto Martinez, a senior employee benefits consultant, offers an overview on the county's health insurance claims over this past year, as well as forecasts the county's renewal prospects for 2026.
Later, TAC Wellness Benefits Consultant Mark Zollisch (not pictured), provided insights into the Healthy County program. He explained how the program's wellness efforts at the individual level not only leads to healthier, happier employees, but also how that translates into positive savings for local taxpayers through lowered county insurance premiums.
Kerr County employees enjoy a robust benefits package, which includes a generous retirement plan, as well as great medical and dental coverage and other benefits.
