Looking to answer many questions all in one convenient location, the Kerr County Engineering Department has launched a new July 4 Flood Damage Resource Page for those looking to repair and/or rebuild after the July 4 flooding disaster.

“We know and sympathize with many of our local residents who suffered damages or total losses as a result of the flood. Now, they are facing the daunting task of recovery, and they have many, many questions about how to go about repairing/rebuilding so that we’re all stronger moving forward,” said Kerr County Engineer Charlie Hastings, P.E., CFM. “We wanted to provide as much of the relevant information as possible that they could access at their fingertips 24 hours a day, seven days a week.”

The new page features three main sections titled: Do I Need a Floodplain Permit? What is Substantial Damage? and How Do I Rebuild with Resiliency?

Anyone looking to repair or rebuild is invited to peruse the new page. For additional questions, call the Kerr County Engineering Department at 830-896-9046 between the hours of 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., Mondays through Fridays.
